The Sulphonic Plant is a subsidiary of the Madar Group, which is part of the Madar Holding global companies group. It was established as an extension of the Arabian Sulphochemical Company, another subsidiary of the Madar Group. The plant construction began in 2010 and was completed in 2013, utilizing developed European production lines and highly efficient Arab and foreign experiences to achieve the highest quality standards and international specifications. The plant has the largest production capacity in Africa for sulfonic acid and MDR-70 (SLES 70%), catering to both domestic and foreign market needs and exporting strongly and effectively like the rest of the Madar Holding companies.

The Egypt Madar Group includes several other plants and warehouses located in Borg el Arab city, west Alexandria. These include the Dishwashing liquid plant (manufacturing Jet), Baby diapers plant (manufacturing Bonny), Plastic plant, Shampoo plant (under construction), Laundry detergent plant (under construction), and a Marketing and Distribution Center. The Madar Holding is a global company that invests in manufacturing raw materials used in producing detergents, laundry detergents, multi-purpose household cleaners, polishes, solid and liquid soap, dishwashing liquid, shampoo, cosmetics, personal care, and baby diapers. They also specialize in marketing and distribution, import, and export across many Arabian and African countries. With a workforce of 8000 employees, the Madar Holding head office oversees all these groups and companies, spread across Jordan, Lebanon, Yemen, Egypt, Libya, Angola, Senegal, Cameroon, and Turkey.

The Egypt Madar group is comprised of several manufacturing plants and a distribution center. These include:

RSPO stands for “Roundtable on Sustainable Palm Oil” and is an international organization established in 2004 to promote sustainable and socially and environmentally responsible production of palm oil.

RSPO was created through collaboration between non-governmental organizations, the palm oil industry, and companies that use this product to improve sustainable practices in the palm oil industry and increase awareness of the importance of preserving the environment and workers’ rights in countries that produce palm oil. RSPO relies on specific standards that include requirements for environmental preservation, workers’ rights, and verification of the origin of products used in palm oil production.

RSPO certificates allow companies that use sustainable palm oil to recognize their efforts in achieving sustainability in palm oil production and increasing awareness of the importance of preserving the environment, local communities, and workers’ rights.
